About Luke Weil

A Manhattan native born on September 11, 1979, Luke Weil attended the Trinity School and Collegiate before graduating from St. Paul’s boarding school in New Hampshire in 1998.

As an undergraduate, Luke attended Brown University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics in 2002.

Upon his graduation, Luke Weil started work at Bear, Stearns and Co. as an analyst in an investment banking division, where he remained until 2004. He then moved to a public affairs, government relations and business consulting firm called Business Strategies & Insight (BSI), where he acted as a liaison between the corporate clients and governments, both domestically and abroad.

In 2006, Luke Weil left BSI and enrolled at Columbia’s Graduate School of Business, where he received his MBA in 2008. After graduating from business school, Luke Weil went to work for Scientific Games Corporation (SG), a diversified gaming company and a market leader in lottery products and services. He currently manages business development for the Latin American region.

Luke Weil is also involved in a number of external business ventures, including Runa, an organic guayusa tea company that is committed to fair trade principles. In addition to being a member of Runa’s board of directors, Luke Weil also sits on the following: LW Air, an aviation holding and leasing company; Andina Acquisition Corp., a special purpose acquisition company established to deploy equity capital in the Andean Region of South America; and Interactive Commerce Corp., an ecommerce and digital media company headquartered in Los Angeles, CA. Luke Weil also serves on the board of the New York-based public policy group Fortune Society.
